Sr. Design/Electrical Engineer
- 3S Group is integrating existing security products and expertise to produce secure networking devices, applications and protocols.
Experience with the complete design cycle, from concept to delivery, for board and system designs are preferred. Need to be able to work with, and participate as, a system engineer to identify future products and create specific solutions. You will have great freedom to design, and greater responsibility to succeed. You will have the responsibility of product development, as a participant in the system development process. You will be responsible for the concept-to-design-to-build-to-test cycle for each product. You will (typically) do all circuit design; board level and IC level although some or all of those services could be contracted out under your supervision. You will coordinate and manage external assets such as contracted board layout services and manufacturing services and any other services necessary. You will devise and document test plans for automated and manual tests to support debug and manufacturing and you will coordinate the instruction and training associated to those tests. You will specify all components and test equipment as required. Finally, you will report directly to the president.

Strong background in board-level design, debug and integration with software personnel is critical. Ability to work with discrete components with dissimilar interfaces, and design the glue-logic in CPLD/FPGA etc. required.

Experience with embedded processors a strong plus.
